How pickup works
When you're ready to donate your RV or motorhome, Bluegrass Wheels will coordinate the logistics for you. Depending on your vehicle type and its location, we typically utilize specialized RV-transport flatbeds or drive-away services. If your RV is stored at a facility, we will work directly with the storage lot to arrange for pickup. It's essential to keep in mind that the vehicle's length and height are crucial for planning the transportation route, as most states enforce a maximum clearance of 13'6”. If you’re not available on-site during pickup, we’ll handle all necessary coordination to ensure a smooth process.
What drives donation value
The value of your RV or motorhome donation is influenced by several key factors. Primarily, the condition of the house systems—including the roof, slide-outs, plumbing, and air conditioning—greatly impacts the overall value. Water damage is a significant deterrent and can lead to major devaluation. Additionally, keep maintenance records handy, as recent repairs validate the vehicle's condition. Seasonality is also a factor; spring auctions tend to fetch higher prices, and appraisals are common for Class A vehicles. Overall, the better the condition and recent maintenance, the more valuable your donation will be.
Documentation you need
- Title of the vehicle
- Service records showing recent maintenance
- Manufacturer's Statement of Origin (MSO) for off-road models
